The Misconception of Business

There is a huge mis-conception in business. Most small business owners, have a big business misconception including us, think that we have a great product offering people will automatically gravitate to it,

 if we set up a Facebook page, Twitter account, or other social media profiles.




Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way and grows business. When you are hit by the hard reality of how much time and effort it takes to get those sales, some people get discouraged by their idea. Have you ever heard of the “calm before the storm??”  Well this is what its like. First you have no customers and then have a flood of them. I know you are thinking to yourself, “How do I get those results!?”. Well I can assure you it won’t be over night. It takes years for you to make inroads for your organic growth in business. But the trick to the results is all about consistency. Consistency takes much time and much effort and much money.



That’s why business owners need to be excellent negotiators and very adaptable, with THICK SKIN to grow their ecommerce business! These are not talents but skills and skills can be learned. Trust me, when starting PalmPons, I wasted tons of my own money and made no initial impact in my targeted market.



The reason why is I didn’t know how to relate to my market. This is the first thing a business owner/Entrepreneur must know in order to get the attention of their audience. I can go on and on but I have found, everything you do for organic growth in business is essentially an investment for the FUTURE. I think about it this way, if I do something today, it’s really like I’m working for next year or even the year after that, because it takes time before a spark becomes a blazing inferno.


It takes time to build a following.
